Sherman, Texas

Sherman is a city in Grayson County, in the North Texas prairie country near the Red River about 30 miles north of McKinney. It is home to Austin College, a private liberal arts college that is among the oldest institutions of higher education in Texas, and the town has long served as a commercial and manufacturing center for the northern reaches of the Dallas-Fort Worth region. In recent years the area has drawn large-scale semiconductor and technology investment.
