Santa Clara is a small city in Guadalupe County, set on the gently rolling farmland and prairie between San Antonio and San Marcos in south-central Texas. It lies about 8 miles from New Braunfels and roughly 23 miles northeast of San Antonio, in the rapidly growing Interstate 35 corridor along the eastern edge of the Hill Country. The community remains largely rural and residential, ringed by pasture and cropland even as the surrounding region urbanizes.
