Rosenberg, Texas

Rosenberg is a city in Fort Bend County on the coastal plain southwest of Houston, lying about 12 miles west of Sugar Land near the Brazos River. The town was laid out as a stop on the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway and took its name from a railroad official, growing into a regional shipping and commercial center where several rail lines still converge. Its historic downtown, now a state-designated cultural district, preserves that railroad heritage, including the Rosenberg Railroad Museum.
