Reno is a small city in Lamar County in far northeastern Texas, adjacent to Paris in the rolling farm and ranch country of the state's northeastern corner. It lies about 76 miles northeast of McKinney, at the outer eastern edge of the broader North Texas region, and functions largely as a rural residential community.
