Paris, Texas

Paris is a city in Lamar County, in the North Texas prairie about 72 miles northeast of McKinney, near the Red River country in the far northeast corner of the state. The surrounding land is gently rolling farmland and pasture at the edge of the Blackland Prairie. The city is widely recognized for its 65-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower, which is topped with a red cowboy hat, and for the ornate Evergreen Cemetery, home to a locally famous statue of Jesus wearing cowboy boots.
