Providence Village is a master-planned residential town in east-central Denton County, set on the rolling prairie of North Texas near Lake Lewisville. It lies roughly ten miles from Frisco and about eleven miles east of the city of Denton, within the broad suburban belt north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The community is built almost entirely around planned neighborhoods, parks, and pond-dotted open space rather than a historic downtown.
