Cross Roads is a small town in Denton County, in the DFW / North Texas region, lying roughly 8 miles east of Denton and about 11 miles west of Frisco. It occupies rolling prairie country near Lewisville Lake, in an area of pastureland and rural subdivisions that has drawn residential growth as the Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs have expanded outward. The town takes its name from its position at the junction of area highways.
