Post Oak Bend is a small town in Kaufman County, situated about 30 miles east of Dallas in the rolling farm and ranch country east of the Trinity River. It sits within the blackland and post-oak landscape that gives the community its name, in a rural stretch of North Texas at the outer edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The town is chiefly residential, surrounded by pasture and scattered woodland.
