Portland, Texas
Portland is a Coastal Bend city on the shore of Corpus Christi Bay, set on high ground just across the water from Corpus Christi, about 7 miles away. Bounded by the bay and by the flat coastal prairie of the Gulf Coast, the city functions largely as a bayside community within the Corpus Christi metropolitan area. Its waterfront parks and access to the bay make fishing, birding, and boating central to local life.
