Megargel, Texas
Megargel is a small town in Archer County, in the rolling prairie and mesquite rangeland of North Texas, about 84 miles northeast of Abilene and roughly 106 miles northwest of Fort Worth. The surrounding country is given over largely to ranching and to oil and gas production, which have long been part of the economy of Archer County and the broader North Central Texas oil region.
