Joshua lies in Johnson County about 21 miles south of Fort Worth, on the prairie and cross-timbers country south of the metroplex. The land here is gently rolling, mixing open farmland with wooded creek bottoms. Once a farming and ranching community, Joshua has grown into a residential town on the southern reaches of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
