Farmersville, Texas

Farmersville is a city in Collin County, on the blackland prairie of North Texas about 17 miles east of McKinney. It was once a major onion-shipping point and long called itself the onion capital of North Texas, and its restored packing shed still stands as a reminder of that agricultural past. The surrounding country remains given over to farming and pasture at the eastern edge of the fast-growing region north of Dallas.
