Buda, Texas

Buda lies in Hays County along the Interstate 35 corridor about 15 miles south of Austin, on the edge of the Texas Hill Country where the Balcones Escarpment meets the blackland prairie. Once a small railroad and farming town, it has grown rapidly as a suburb within the Austin metropolitan area. Its older main street retains a compact historic core near the rail line.
