Brookside Village is a small city in Brazoria County, in the flat coastal-prairie country just south of Houston. It sits about three miles from Pearland and roughly twelve miles south of downtown Houston, a low-lying residential community threaded by creeks and bordered by the larger suburbs that have grown up along the metropolitan edge. Much of the surrounding landscape is level grassland and drainage bottoms typical of the Upper Gulf Coast.
