Aransas Pass is a coastal city in Aransas County on the Gulf shore of the Texas Coastal Bend, about 19 miles east of Corpus Christi. Bordered by bays and tidal flats, it sits near the pass of the same name that connects the Gulf to the inner bays, and the town is long associated with commercial and sport fishing, shrimping, and boat traffic.
