Angleton is a city in Brazoria County, on the flat coastal plain of Southeast Texas roughly 28 miles south of Pearland and inland from the Gulf. It lies in a region shaped by agriculture, petrochemical industry, and the nearby refineries and plants of the Texas coast. The surrounding lowlands, threaded by the Brazos River and coastal prairie, are used for farming and cattle.
