Anderson, Texas
Anderson is a small city in Grimes County, in the rolling country of east-central Texas about 23 miles east of College Station. It lies amid wooded hills and pastureland in the transition zone between the Post Oak Savannah and the coastal plain. The historic Fanthorp Inn, a preserved 19th-century stagecoach stop, stands in the town and is maintained as a state historic site.
