Voting by mail in Starr County: who qualifies and the four-day catch
Texas limits who may vote by mail. You may qualify if you are 65 or older on Election Day, sick or disabled, close to giving birth, or away from the county for all of early voting and Election Day. A person in jail who is still allowed to vote may also qualify.
You may fax or email the form to Starr County, but that does not finish the job. The signed paper must then be mailed. The early-voting clerk must receive it within four business days.
The usual application deadline still applies. Check the election calendar before sending either copy, and use the current address from Starr County Elections instead of an old saved form.
