Transferring a Vehicle Title in Coryell County

For a private sale, Coryell County title work goes through the county tax office. That office handles title transfers, renewals, address changes, disabled placards, and temporary registration. The Gatesville office is at 800 E. Main Street, Suite B.

Title transfers and registration can be done by mail. The title now arrives about two weeks after the transaction. Simple registration renewals can also be done online or at H-E-B.

Driver's licenses are DPS, not tax-office work. For an individual sale, bring the signed title, Form 130-U, and proof of liability insurance.
