The Gardens at Texas A&M are a public garden classroom
You do not have to be a student to walk The Gardens at Texas A&M. The 27-acre public teaching garden sits on the west side of campus along White Creek. It grew from the West Campus Greenway set aside by the Board of Regents in 1998.
The first piece opened in June 2018. The Leach Teaching Gardens include 21 themed gardens, an outdoor classroom, an event lawn, a demonstration area, and a pavilion.
It is part classroom and part town green space. In a city shaped by Texas A&M, the gardens give the campus a public front porch.
