John Burge Park Has Trails and Disc Golf in Northwest Conroe

John Burge Park at Shadow Lakes sits off Little Egypt Road on the northwest side of Conroe. The city says work began in 2009 after a land purchase from the Stoecker Corporation.

The 39-acre park has rolling ground, a large pavilion, picnic areas, an outdoor learning center, and more than a mile of trails. It also has native landscaping, rainwater harvest tanks, an 18-basket disc golf course, and public art.
