Candy Cane Park Puts Play, Pools, and History in One Conroe Spot

Candy Cane Park covers 24 acres at 1204 Candy Cane Lane in Conroe. It started as City and VFW Park, then grew into a busy civic spot.

Three institutions share the grounds: the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, C.K. Ray Recreation Center, and Conroe Aquatic Center. Outside are a pavilion, gazebo, restrooms, courts, play areas, picnic spots, a walking trail, and access to swimming facilities.

That stack of uses gives the park a town-center feel. One afternoon can hold family play, a walk, a swim, and a stop through county history.
