Big Builds Outside Town Still Get a Fire Code Review

San Patricio County's fire code applies in unincorporated areas and to county-owned land or facilities. The 2022 code covers commercial establishments, public buildings, and multifamily dwellings with four or more units.

For a shop, public building, or apartment project outside city limits, call before plans are final. If the site is inside a city, that city's building and fire rules may apply instead.
