Don't sign a Corsicana lease before the occupancy check
A Corsicana storefront is not cleared for every use just because the last business opened there. Before a new business moves in, or when ownership changes, the city requires a Certificate of Occupancy.
Apply through Permits and Inspections. Review can take up to ten business days. Fire, Building Inspections, and the Main Street director may review the space for code fit. If the building needs remodel work, those permits can come before the certificate. Bring the address and planned use to 200 North 12th Street while the lease is still a maybe.
