Building inside Corsicana means a city permit first

Inside Corsicana city limits, a permit is needed to build, change, enlarge, or repair a home or commercial building. A homeowner may pull a homestead permit for work they do themselves. Other jobs use a licensed contractor registered with the city.

Building permit applications go to the building inspector and Planning and Zoning. Commercial jobs also get Fire, Engineering, Environmental Services, and sometimes Health review.
