Voting by Mail in Hood County Resets Every January

Texas does not offer mail voting to everyone. A voter may qualify at age 65. A voter may also qualify when sickness or a physical condition makes voting in person unsafe or calls for help. Certain voters who will be away from the county or are in jail may qualify too.

Age and disability requests may cover elections through year-end. Absence and jail requests apply to the named election. A form sent by fax or email is not done until the clerk gets the signed paper within four business days.
