Windcrest, Texas

Windcrest is a small residential city entirely surrounded by San Antonio, sitting in northeastern Bexar County near the junction of Interstate 35 and Loop 410, roughly 9 miles from downtown. Developed as a planned suburb in the late 1950s, it is known across the San Antonio area for the elaborate Christmas light displays that residents put up each December, drawing crowds who drive through to see them. It occupies gently rolling terrain on the northern edge of the city.
