Wilmer, Texas
Wilmer is a small city in Dallas County, about 14 miles south of downtown Dallas on the flat blackland prairie at the southern edge of the metroplex. Long a rail community on the line running south out of Dallas, it sits near the Interstate 45 corridor and in recent years has become a hub for warehousing and freight distribution serving the larger region. The surrounding land is level prairie giving way to suburban and industrial development.
