Weimar, Texas
Weimar is a city in Colorado County, situated on the gently rolling coastal-plain prairie in the western part of the county, about 68 miles west of Sugar Land. The town grew up along the railroad that still runs through it and took its name from the German city of Weimar, reflecting the strong German and Czech immigrant heritage of the surrounding county. That mix of Central European settlement remains a defining feature of the community and its foodways.
