Teague, Texas

Teague is a city in Freestone County, in the rolling farm and timber country between the Piney Woods and the Blackland Prairie, about 52 miles east of Waco. The town grew as a railroad division point in the early twentieth century, and its restored 1906 depot now houses the Burlington-Rock Island Railroad Museum, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The surrounding land is a mix of oak woodland, pasture, and small farms.
