Kirvin, Texas

Kirvin is a small rural community in northwestern Freestone County, in the transition country between the Blackland Prairie and the East Texas woods, about 51 miles northeast of Waco. Once a cotton and railroad town, it declined over the twentieth century and today is a quiet, sparsely settled place surrounded by farmland and pasture.
