St. Hedwig, Texas

St. Hedwig is a small town in eastern Bexar County, about 17 miles east of downtown San Antonio, set in the gently rolling farmland and pasture at the edge of the metropolitan area. The community traces its roots to Polish Catholic settlement in the region, and its name reflects that heritage. Much of the surrounding land remains rural, a mix of small farms and open country now bordered by San Antonio's outward growth.
