San Saba, Texas

San Saba is the seat of San Saba County, on the Edwards Plateau of western Central Texas where the San Saba River meets the Colorado. The town is long associated with pecans and has billed itself as the Pecan Capital of the World, the crop taking hold in the river-bottom orchards along the two streams. It lies about 73 miles northwest of Georgetown in country that blends Hill Country terrain with open ranchland.
