Quintana, Texas

Quintana is a small coastal town in Brazoria County, occupying a low barrier strip on the Upper Gulf Coast near the mouth of the Brazos River, about 41 miles southwest of Galveston. Once a busy nineteenth-century seaport serving the early Texas colonies, it declined after storms and shifting shipping routes and is now known chiefly for its Gulf beach and a county park. The town looks out directly onto the Gulf near the Freeport industrial harbor.
