Point Venture is a small Hill Country village in Travis County, built on a wooded peninsula that juts into Lake Travis about 17 miles west of Austin. The lake, a Colorado River reservoir, wraps around much of the community, and boating, golf, and waterfront homes define the local character. The surrounding terrain is the limestone hill and cedar country typical of Central Texas.
