Pearsall is a city in Frio County, on the South Texas plains about 51 miles southwest of San Antonio along the Interstate 35 corridor toward the border. The surrounding country is flat to gently rolling brush and farmland, and the area has long been known both for its oil production and for peanut farming, with Frio County ranking among the state's leading peanut-growing regions.
