Moulton is a small town in Lavaca County, in the rolling farm and ranch country between the Hill Country and the coastal plain, about 52 miles southeast of San Marcos. It lies within the region of south-central Texas long settled by German and Czech immigrants, and that heritage remains visible in the surrounding communities.
