Moody is a small city in McLennan County, in the Central Texas farm-and-ranch country between the Blackland Prairie and the eastern edge of the Hill Country. It lies about 21 miles southwest of Waco and roughly 25 miles northeast of Killeen, in gently rolling terrain given over to cattle and cropland.
