Lockney, Texas
Lockney is a small farming town in Floyd County on the flat, high tableland of the Texas Panhandle, about 45 miles northeast of Lubbock. It sits atop the Llano Estacado, or Caprock, in a region given over largely to cotton and grain farming on the surrounding plains. The town serves as a trade center for the agricultural country around it.
