Floydada, Texas
Floydada is a city in Floyd County, on the flat, open farmland of the Panhandle / High Plains about 42 miles northeast of Lubbock. It sits amid cotton, wheat, and pumpkin fields, and the large pumpkin harvest grown in the surrounding county has earned the town a long-standing reputation as a pumpkin-growing center. The town sits atop the Llano Estacado, the high, level plain that defines this corner of the state.
