LaCoste, Texas

LaCoste is a small city in eastern Medina County, about 20 miles west of San Antonio, on the level farmland southeast of Castroville. It developed along the Southern Pacific rail line as a shipping point for cotton and other crops grown on the surrounding irrigated fields. The area was long home to families of Alsatian descent linked to the nearby Castroville colony.
