Humble, Texas

Humble is a city in Harris County on the northern edge of the Houston metropolitan area, about 17 miles north of downtown Houston near the West Fork of the San Jacinto River. It grew into a major oil boomtown in the early 1900s and gave its name to the Humble Oil & Refining Company, a corporate predecessor of Exxon. Today it sits within Houston's suburban expanse, close to George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
