Hickory Creek is a small town in Denton County, North Texas, about 9 miles south of Denton and near the western shore of Lewisville Lake. Its setting of woodland and lakefront within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex has made it largely a residential community, with the reservoir shaping much of the surrounding land use.
