Gorman, Texas

Gorman is a small city in Eastland County, in the rolling ranch and farm country of West Central Texas, about 65 miles southeast of Abilene. The town grew as a railroad and agricultural shipping point and became a hub of the Texas peanut industry, long serving as a major center for peanut buying and shelling in the region. Its surroundings are a mix of cropland, pasture, and the oak-mottled hills that mark this part of the state.
