Golinda is a small city in Falls County, in the Central Texas blackland country about 13 miles south of Waco. It sits amid the gently rolling farm and pasture land that spreads south of the Brazos River valley, in a rural stretch between Waco and the Killeen area. The community remains chiefly residential and agricultural.
