Emory is a small city in Rains County, in the wooded country of East Texas about 46 miles northwest of Tyler. The area lies near Lake Fork Reservoir, a lake widely known among anglers for trophy largemouth bass. Rolling terrain, pine and hardwood stands, and rural farmland surround the town.
