Eldorado, Texas

Eldorado is a small city in Schleicher County, set on the rangeland of the Edwards Plateau in West Texas about 43 miles southwest of San Angelo. The surrounding country has long been sheep, goat, and cattle ranching land. The area gained wide attention in 2008 when state authorities raided the nearby YFZ Ranch, an FLDS religious compound northeast of town.
