Bertram is a small city in Burnet County on the eastern edge of the Texas Hill Country, roughly 24 miles west of Georgetown. The land around it is rolling limestone hills and oak-and-cedar rangeland typical of the Highland Lakes region. It sits along the rail and highway corridor that runs west from the Austin area toward Burnet.
