Bonham, Texas
Bonham is a city in Fannin County, in the North Texas prairie country east of the DFW metroplex, about 38 miles northeast of McKinney. It is closely associated with Sam Rayburn, the long-serving Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, whose home just outside town is preserved as a state historic site. The surrounding land is rolling blackland prairie given over to farming and ranching.
