Bishop Hills is a very small town in Potter County on the flat, treeless High Plains of the Texas Panhandle, sitting just west of Amarillo. The surrounding landscape is open grassland and farmland typical of the region, cut by shallow draws and playa lakes. It functions largely as a small residential community on the outskirts of the Amarillo area.
